Tod Young Williams, 47, died Wednesday February 02, 2012 at his home in Buchanan, MI succumbing to a brief battle with cancer. Tod passed quietly in his home in the company of his mother and animal companions.

He was born on May 22, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois and was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Young Williams on July 03, 2011. He was unmarried. Tod resided in Kingsport, Tennessee during his youth and attended East Tennessee State University, majoring in communications. In 1995 he relocated to Illinois and subsequently Indiana. Approximately 11 years ago, he took up residence in Buchanan where he remained until his death. His interests included computers, photography and animal rights. Due to the brevity and suddenness of his illness, a memorial celebration of his life will be deferred to a later date.

Mrs. Williams expresses gratitude to Lakeland Cancer Center and to Lakeland Hospice at Home. Thanks is given to the caring staff of both facilities as well as to Dr. Kozuh and Dr. Strayhorn who managed Tod's care with compassion while assisting him to maintain his dignity during the period of illness.
