Gloria J. Jenks, age 77, of Berrien Springs, died Monday, February 13, 2012 at 7:25 a.m. at Lakeland Medical Center, Niles. She was born December 10, 1934 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to the late Karl and Martha Hunt.
On October 14, 1971 in Eau Claire, Michigan, she married Milton Jenks, who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Tari (Tom) Record and Vicki Moore of Berrien Springs; two step-daughters, Shirley (Chuck) Axtell of Vicksburg and Cynthia Jenks of South Bend; four sons, Gary Moore of Berrien Springs, Rick (Sharon) Moore of Berrien Center, Brook (Paula) Moore of Littleton, Mass and Michael (Megan) Jenks of Niles; a sister, Janice (Jack) Parker of Collegedale, Tenn; a half-brother, David Benton of Las Vegas, Nevada; fifteen grandchildren, Tasha, Bryce, Casey, Amanda, Hannah, Griffin, Oliver, Jeanine, Alicia, Charlie, Bobbie, Jimmy, Shawn, Jessica, Tommy; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a step-daughter, Pamela Chowder; two sisters, Marjorie Hiscock and Karla Meyer; and a brother, Lewayne Hunt.
Gloria's hobbies included crafts, flowers, sewing and bowling. She was a member of the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church in Berrien Springs where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Glenn Russell officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church where friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
